Innovation, Experience Hallmark the Appointment of Two New Executives

January 30th, 2018

In alignment with our values and strategic growth objectives, we’re pleased to announce Renee Newman (featured left) as our Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer and Jodi Delahunt Hubbell (featured right) as our Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Both Renee and Jodi joined the First Interstate family in October 2017 and, between them, have amassed more than 55 years of experience in the financial services industry.

“Throughout our Company, we have tremendously talented people,” said Kevin Riley, President and Chief Executive Officer. “One of my biggest responsibilities is to ensure we have the right people, in the right roles, focused on the right priorities. I’m extremely excited about Renee and Jodi’s new leadership positions, and I look forward to the great results we will deliver throughout 2018 and beyond.”

In her new role, Renee will oversee all client-facing channels, including the branch banking network, digital banking, the contact center, the client experience, wealth management, marketing, and communications. She will work closely with Bill Gottwals, our Director of Banking, to align all branches across our six-state footprint. Renee is passionate about financial literacy for women, creating consistent and unique client experiences, and building, developing, and coaching successful teams and leaders. She received recognition from the Vancouver Business Journal as a “Top 40 under 40” and was a Portland Business Journal Orchid Award Nominee.

As Chief Operating Officer, Jodi oversees all operations functions across First Interstate. Jodi initially joined First Interstate as the Chief Banking Officer for our West Division, which includes Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. She is a 2016/2017 International Woman’s Forum Leadership Foundation Fellow and attended the RMA/Wharton Advanced Risk Management School. One of Jodi’s proudest moments was being recognized in 2013 with a Portland Business Journal Orchid Award as a “Woman of Influence.”

Jodi, Renee, and Chief Financial Officer Marcy Mutch hold three key positions in executive leadership at First Interstate. “I’m both honored and humbled to work alongside such a talented, dedicated team of executives, poised to carve a new path for our Company,” Kevin said.
