First Interstate Bank has been honored with the Welcoming and Belonging Award by the Billings Chamber of Commerce. First Interstate is the inaugural recipient of the award.
The recognition spotlights the Bank’s longstanding commitment to fostering inclusivity, equity, and a sense of belonging in the places we call home.
“We take pride in creating a workplace that values our employees for their differences while ensuring equity in all we do,” said Jenifer Dellgard, Director of Recruitment and DEI. “The success of First Interstate is reflective of our people, how we treat one another, and how we show up for our clients and communities. We appreciate the Chamber shining light on our commitment to set the example.”
The 2024 Business Excellence Awards honors individuals and organizations whose contributions, character, and impact make Billings, Montana, a better place to work and live. Nominations are put forth by public submission, then a committee of business community representatives selects recipients through a scoring process.
Recipients will be recognized at the 2024 Billings Chamber Breakfast on Thursday, April 25, at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark. The event will feature keynote speaker Andre Reed, NFL Hall of Fame Receiver, with entertainment by James Cunningham, comedian and television personality on Food Network. The event will run from 7-9 a.m. with doors opening at 6 a.m. with a buffet breakfast. Tickets are available through the Chamber’s website.
