First Interstate Bank has announced plans to build a new branch on the site of the former Capital Hill Mall in Helena, Montana.
“First Interstate is proud to be part of the Helena community, and we are delighted to demonstrate this through our investment in a new, state-of-the-art facility on one of the city’s main thoroughfares,” said Guy Almquist, First Interstate’s Helena Market President.
The new 3,293 square-foot building, to be located on the corner of North Roberts Street and Prospect Avenue, will present a clean, contemporary aesthetic and an open concept floor plan. A multi-lane drive-up and ample parking will provide clients with a convenient branch experience.
Design and construction will focus on utilizing sustainable materials and building practices, including a focus on energy efficiency and long-term operational cost savings. Cushing Terrell is the architect and engineer for the project; Dick Anderson Construction will be the General Contractor. The new location, which is anticipated to open in Spring 2022, will eventually replace First Interstate’s existing RBC branch, located at 2021 N. Montana Avenue.
