Our programs for financial education grow every year to make financial education and literacy easy to comprehend and digest. We focus on low-to-moderate-income areas and underbanked communities with the goal of increasing overall financial literacy and building trust among demographics that may not have experience and relationships with financial experts.
Providing this education helps us break down barriers and create new opportunity, especially for individuals who come from generational poverty.
In 2023, our bankers taught more than 520 presentations to 10,865 attendees, and we distributed more than 6,300 informational packets. While those numbers are impressive, we dream even bigger, and are confident we will improve upon that outreach in 2024.

If you are interested in having a banker teach a financial education course for your organization or community, call your local First Interstate Bank branch and ask for your local Commitment to Community Financial Education Champion.
