Commitment to Community Volunteer Day

Wednesday, September 11, 2019

Giving back to the places we call home is central to our corporate identity at First Interstate. And on September 11, 2019, we will be putting this attitude into action during our second annual Commitment to Community Volunteer Day. During this special day, all First Interstate Bank locations will close at noon so our employees can volunteer from 1 to 5 p.m. At 2,500 employees strong, we hope this collaborative and powerful impact is felt across our footprint.

Your organization and First Interstate share a commitment to the communities we serve and a passion to support the places we live. If you have a project or projects, we want to help!

How can we support you? If you are a nonprofit, school, or service organization, please apply and let us know how we can help.

Let’s see what we can accomplish together!

During this effort, we are focusing our support on poverty-related outreach, particularly volunteering for organizations forging the fight to alleviate hunger and homelessness or those providing affordable housing. Financial education is key to overcoming poverty, and this is our area of expertise! If you are interested in workshops for staff, clients, or students, please indicate which topics would be helpful to your organization.

If your organization incurs expenses for the identified project(s), please fill out the Mini Grant portion of the application to help cover any material or supply costs for these volunteer projects (up to $500).

If you have any questions, please contact your local First Interstate Bank branch, or call the First Interstate Foundation at 406-255-5393 or
