What do I need to open an account with First Interstate Bank?

Service: Online Account Opening | Updated: April 29th, 2014

Answer:

There are several things you will need to refer to - and provide - during the account opening process:

  • You'll be asked for your U.S. Social Security number and valid form of identification including: Driver's license, State ID, Military ID, Tribal ID, or Passport.
  • You will need to provide personal information, a current and former mailing address (es) if you have not lived at your current address for a least 2 years..
  • You will also need a credit card, debit card, U.S. Checking or Savings Account to fund your new account(s).

If you are not a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident Alien and do not have this information, we will be unable to enroll you online. Please visit one of our branches for assistance.
