Credit Card Phone Scam

A new phone scam has been reported that involves an automated voice message stating that the recipient’s credit card is eligible for a lower interest rate and to stay on the line to speak to an operator. Calls have been received from 440-617-5620, a number associated with other scams, but the scammers could call from other numbers as well. The callers do not indicate with which card they are associated
If you receive such a call, do not provide any personal or credit card information. These calls are not from First Interstate Bank, and your accounts here have not been affected in any way. Please remember we will never ask for your card information over the phone.
