Text(SMS) Message Scam
May 03, 2012 at 02:00pm
First Interstate Bank customers should be aware that a text message scam is in full swing. The text messages are often received from (406)233-1312 and (801)389-3621, but could change. The message will indicate that your card has been de-activated or say something like the following:
Credit Union Alert - your credit card has been compromised please call (406)233-1312.
Do not call the number on the text message and reveal your card information. First Interstate Bank already has customer card information on file and would not request this information in this manner. Anyone asking for such information is likely associated with a scam.
If you have any questions about this or any other suspected email scams, please contact your local First Interstate Bank branch or our Corporate Security office at 406-237-2702.
