Why is my debit card not working?

Answer:

There are several reasons your debit card might not work, including the following:

  • The card is not activated.
  • The card is bent.
  • The card strip is damaged.
  • A suspect transaction has resulted in a temporary hold placed on the card.
  • The card is compromised, and a temporary hold is placed on the card.
  • Trying to pull from an account not attached to the card.
  • Merchant processor problem.
