Greetings,
The health and safety of our clients, employees, and communities is of utmost importance to us.
I wanted to personally reach out to share what First Interstate is doing in response to the Coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak. Please be assured we are closely monitoring developments and implementing several safety precautions across the Company.
Coronavirus has claimed lives in South Dakota and Washington, where we have branches and employees. Our hearts go out to those who've been impacted in our communities and worldwide.
In an effort to protect our employees and clients and to do our part in reducing the spread of this disease, we have suspended air business travel for our employees and the vendors with whom we partner.
In addition to business travel, we also discourage personal travel and strongly recommend employees reassess their travel plans, especially when traveling to high-risk areas and/or internationally. Above all, we are working to ensure our teams are spreading facts—not fear—as we remain vigilant.
As always, we urge employees and clients who don't feel well to stay home to get the rest and recovery they need.
Additionally, we encourage employees and clients to do their best in helping prevent the spread of illness:
- Stay home if you're not feeling well. Focus on getting plenty of rest and fluids.
- Wash your hands frequently and for at least 20 seconds with soap and water; use hand sanitizer, and don't touch your face.
- Sneeze and cough into your inner-elbow.
- If you are sick, seek medical care early.
- If you are considering travel, be sure to check the CDC's Traveler's Health Notices for the latest guidance and recommendations.
Every day brings new developments related to the virus, and we are committed to protecting you as best we can. We will continue to monitor the coronavirus outbreak and modify travel restrictions and other safety precautions as necessary. We will be sure to keep you informed to help you prepare and respond as appropriate, sharing updates via our website, firstinterstate.com, our Facebook page, email, and—if necessary—mailed letter.
As always, you can access your accounts via Online and Mobile Banking or by using telephone banking 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 888-752-3341. If you have questions, please call our Client Contact Center at 855-342-3400, where we are available Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. MT (6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT) and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. MT (9 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT).
Sincerely,
