First Interstate Expands in Billings
March 07, 2012 at 02:05pm
This spring, First Interstate Bank will add a new branch location to better serve the Billings, Montana, community. In May, First Interstate will take ownership of the existing Little Horn State Bank (LHSB) location in Lockwood, off of Johnson Lane. After some remodeling, the branch will reopen around the first of June as the 72nd branch location of First Interstate Bank.
"It can be a challenge for customers in Lockwood and outlying areas to the east of Billings to reach our current branch locations," explained Bruce Parker, Senior Vice President and Banking Group Manager. "This new location expands our service area, making banking with us even more convenient for our customers. It also opens our doors to a new audience of potential customers."
This transaction between First Interstate and LHSB is strictly a real estate transaction; First Interstate is not acquiring any loans or deposits from LHSB. In addition, the transaction is still subject to regulatory approval.
