Centennial Youth Foundation
For more than four decades, the Centennial Youth Foundation has helped local organizations expand opportunities for young people throughout Yellowstone County. Accepting applications through October 9, 2026.
First Interstate established the Foundation during Billings’ centennial in 1982 with a commitment to provide more than $1 million over 100 years to local youth organizations and activities.
These grants help local organizations strengthen programs, respond to community needs, and give young people more opportunities to learn, connect, participate, and grow.
Groups and agencies serving youth ages 18 and younger in Yellowstone County, Montana, are encouraged to apply.
Grant requests may support:
- Athletic programs and activities
- Arts and cultural opportunities
- Educational programs
- Social services for young people
- Special projects benefiting local youth
Prepare the following information before beginning your application:
- Organization name and contact information
- Program or project description
- Number and ages of youth expected to benefit
- Requested grant amount
- Proposed use of the funding
- Program or project timeline
- Expected results or community impact
Applications must be complete and submitted by the deadline to be considered.
A selection committee reviews the completed applications and determines the grant awards.
