Before installing Remote Deposit a pre-assessment inventory of your PC should be done to ensure it has enough hard drive space and memory available, the proper third party applications and patches are installed, and all other necessary components are verified before beginning installation. Use the following list to verify the PC requirements.

Operating System (32-bit): Windows Vista, Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4, Windows XP Professional (with Service Pack 2 recommended), or Windows 2003 with Service Pack 1.

Memory (RAM): Minimum of 512MB RAM (1GB RAM required for Vista)

Processor Speed (CPU): Pentium IV or compatible 2.4 GHz or higher processor

Primary Hard Drive: 200MB available hard drive space

Scanner Connections/Ports: One available USB 2.0 port

Other PC components:

• Keyboard and mouse
• 100MB Network Interface Card
• Super VGA (1024x768) or higher resolution video adapter and monitor

Software Dependencies: The following software components are necessary for the application to operate correctly and should be loaded prior to the remote deposit installation process.

• Internet Explorer 7.x or 8.x, Microsoft .NET 1.1 with Service Pack 1 or .NET 2.0 (NOTE: Beta versions of .NET 2.0 are not supported – if you have a beta version installed, you must uninstall and install the release version of .NET 2.9)
• Adobe Reader 5.0 or higher (only required if wish to read reports in .PDF)

Windows Login Rights: The following Windows rights are required to access the relevant functions for remote deposit.

• Administrator Rights: Users will require local administrator access to the workstation to install the security policy and perform first-time capture.
• Power User Rights: Users will require power user rights to operate the client application and allow the system to cache information during capture.

If any of the above requirements is not met for the Client PC, stop the installation process. Either establish the PC with the required components or load the remote deposit application on a different PC that meets the requirements listed above.
