What is RSS?

RSS ImageRSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It is a fast, free way to easily distribute a list of headlines, update notices, and even content to a wide number of people. RSS feeds can be read using software called an "RSS reader", "feed reader", or "aggregator", which can be web-based or desktop-based.

How do I subscribe to an RSS?

Subscribing to an RSS feed is simple. If you use a web-based news service, such as iGoogle, MyYahoo, or MSN Live, click the button next to the feed title to add that content to your page. If you use a feed reader program, or prefer to view the information directly in your web browser, use the RSS link.

All new versions of popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Safari, have RSS reading capabilities built in. While you are browsing the First Interstate Bank website, look for the orange RSS icon in the web browser address bar:
